The links on this page provide information about cycling related organisations both within and outside the Swansea Bay area. In addition contact details for local cycle shops are provided.
General
Bikeability (Wales). This organisation provides specially adapted bikes for disabled people and assists them in their use.
CTC's Swansea and District Member Group. Note: details of CTC's local rides are given here but are also summarised on a monthly basis on the

Cyclenation. This four page document from Cyclenation's website explains what they do. We are affiliated to them.
Bicycle Repair London. This site provides details of an AA type of service for cyclists. It is not clear how far their service extends beyond Bow Bells, but if you break down in the London area then . . ..
Cycle commuter's site. A useful site particularly for those new to cycle commuting. Although sponsored Specialised's advertising is not brash.
Mercurio Bike Travel: provide quality cycle tours along the major rivers in Germany and Austria. These are led tours with accommodation in comfortable hotels. In recognition of the work Wheelrights do to get people on bikes Mercurio will make a contribution to us for anybody who attended the 20ll Gower Cycling Festival (the criterion being that they bought a Festival Pass) and who has not been with them before. If you qualify and would like to take this up please contact David Naylor by phone on 01792 233755 or by email. David, who has been on a Mercurio tour, can tell you about them and give you a code which you will need to include on your application. He also will have something useful for you from Wheelrights
Park that bike: a new site which provides UK wide information about bike parking.
Re-cycle. This is a project to receive discarded bikes, put them into working order and sell them at affordable prices. Contact: Anthony Nicholls: Mobile 07847 474880 or Amina Ali on 01792 468271. Their workshop on Catherine St, off Bryn-y-Mor Rd (at end of alley between 19A and The Mill pub) is open Mondays and Tuesdays, 9.30 – 5.00pm. Click for more information.

Sylfaen Cynefin. This Swansea Company specialises in sustainable urban design which includes cycle friendly infrastructure.

Other cycle campaigning groups
cyclenation (CN): site of the federation of UK cycle campaign groups. A comprehensive site which allows the latest or a back issue of their monthly newsletter cyclenation news to be viewed/downloaded as a pdf file.

Warrington Cycle Campaign group: a comprehensive site. The group were responsible for the little book Crap cycle lanes and started the Twenty’s plenty campaign.
