The links on this page provide information about what is happening in the world of cycle campaigning outside the Swansea Bay area. This may be useful if you are visiting other parts of the UK and would like information about rides, etc.. In addition information about local cycling related organisations and contact details for cycle shops are provided.
General
www.swansea.gov.uk and enter 'Cycling' in the search box.
www.bettertransport.org.uk This is the comprehensive site of a national organisation which campaigns for more sustainable transport, which of course includes cycling.
www.ctc.org.uk: the CTC's national site. Links for local CTC rides, etc. are given in Events.
www.wennol.co.uk provides colourful descriptions of recent CTC South Wales rides.
www.sustrans.org.uk: Sustrans national site.
www.swanseaoutdoorgroup.org.uk: This is an activity based group linked to the YHA. They organise both bike rides and walks.
www.sustainableswansea.net: This site provides contacts and information about various places of interest (the Sustainability Trail) in and around Swansea.
Re-Cycle. This is a project to receive discarded bikes, put them into working order and sell them at affordable prices. Contact: Ian Williams at the Black Environment Network (BEN); Mobile: 07847 474880, Fax: 01792 462990, e-mail: ian@ben-network.org.uk.
www.millypeds.co.uk. This is a small company based near Lampeter which, like Re-Cycle (above), receives and repairs discarded bikes. In addition they provide a range of services including cycle training.

www.bricycles.org.uk: the Brighton, Hove and District Cycle group. A comprehensive site which allows any of the last ten issues of their quarterly newsletter to be viewed/downloaded as a pdf file.
Cycle Digest. This is a CTC quarterly publication and covers issues of national importance. Artcles can be viewed in Word format.
www.cyclenetwork.org.uk: the Cycle Campaign Network (CCN) site. A comprehensive site which allows the latest or a back issue of their monthly newsletter CCN News to be viewed/downloaded as a pdf file.
www.dcn.org.uk: the Dorset Cyclists Network. A comprehensive site which allows their latest quarterly newsletter to be viewed.
www.gmcc.org.uk: the Greater Manchester Cycling Campaign group. A comprehensive site which allows the latest or a back issue of their quarterly newsletter Pothole to be viewed/downloaded as a pdf file.
Llantwit Major & Vale Cycling Touring Club is not far from us. Click to access their website from which their newsletter can be viewed/downloaded as a pdf file. It includes their rides programme.
www.merseyworld.com/mcc: the Merseyside Cycling Campaign group. A comprehensive site which allows the latest or a back issue of their three-times-a-year newsletter Pedal Press to be viewed (as a Word file).
www.spokes.org.uk: the Lothian Cycle Campaign group. They produce a quarterly bulletin. To view articles it is necessary to register (but this is free).
www.spokeseastkent.org.uk: the East Kent Cycle Campaign group. Amongst other things contains their latest quarterly bulletin; this can be viewed/downloaded as a pdf file.
www.warringtoncyclecampaign.co.uk: the Warrington Cycle Campaign group. This is a comprehensive site which amongst other things allows the CCN Newsletter to be viewed/downloaded as a pdf file.
