This page provides information about cycling related organisations both locally, ie within the Swansea Bay area, and across the UK and beyond. Contact details for local cycle shops are also given.

Bikeability (Wales). This organisation helps disabled people ride using specially adapted bikes. They also offer bike maintenance and cycle training up to Level 3.
Bynea Cycling Club. An established club which focuses on road racing, sportives and similar events.
CTC Swansea Bay Cycle Forum is a forum for cycling clubs and similar groups in the area.
CTC Swansea (Member Group of Cycling UK). They offer moderate (Level 2) and faster (Level 3) rides on Wednesdays and Sundays.
Gower Riders Cycling Club provides a range of rides including training for younger people.
Let's Ride. This Welsh Cycling website lists local rides as well as those further afield.
Swansea Council. Enter 'Cycling' in the search box.
Swansea Cycle Routes. This website provides information about local cycling routes including maps.
Swansea Outdoor Group While mainly about walking this group also organises cycle rides.
U3A Cycle Group provides rides on the last Monday of most months. Details on our Rides and Commutes page.
Swansea Wheelers Cycling Club. A well established club which focuses on road rides.

Non-local: tours in the UK and abroad, and sites of general interest.
Bike events. This site provides information about cycle rides across the UK.
Bike reviews. This site reviews a wide range of bikes.
Bike-safety-guide. This section of the Bike storage Co. is full of information on various aspects of cycling.
CTC North Wales. This is the comprehensive website of CTC Cymru's North Wales group. Amongst other things it covers their important achievement in getting cycling allowed on Llandudno's promenade.
Cycling UK's National site.
Cyclenation (CN): site of the federation of UK cycle campaign groups. A comprehensive site which allows the latest or a back issue of their monthly newsletter cyclenation news to be viewed/downloaded as a pdf file.
Mercurio Bike Travel: provide quality cycle tours along the major rivers in Germany and Austria. These are led tours with accommodation in comfortable hotels.
Pinch-flat.This site, run by a cycling enthusiast, has lots of information ranging from the nitty-gritty of getting on a bike to cycle tours across the world.
Sustrans National site.
Traveline Cymru: Bus travel information throughout Wales (incl. local services).
Warrington Cycle Campaign group: a comprehensive site. The group were responsible for the little book Crap cycle lanes and started the Twenty's plenty campaign.

Re-cycle. This is a project to receive discarded bikes, put them into working order and sell them at affordable prices. Contact: Ian Williams: Mobile 07847 474880. Their workshop on Catherine St, off Bryn-y-Mor Rd (at end of alley between 19A and The Mill pub) is open Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, 10.00 - 5.00pm.
Schmoos. The shop in Wyndham St is now closed. Julian however continues to provide his usual service from his home nearby. To avail yourself of this phone him on 07984 493748.
The Bike Bloke is a fully equipped mobile cycle servicing and repair workshop, covering a 15 mile radius from Swansea.
