Wheelrights Easter ride

This "Bunny Hop" ride took place on 10th April. It was a fine sunny day but with a cold SE wind. Fancy dress was encouraged, with our President setting the style, unrecognisable (except for those who know him well) in a rabbit costume. The ride followed NCR 43 for the 11 miles from Blackpill to the Clydach Heritage Centre. There were close to two dozen in all with half joining at Blackpill and the rest at the Sail Bridge. Several families with small children took part. Two of them: Adda (Age 7) and Niamh (age 11) wrote accounts of the ride. (Adda also wrote an account of the Christmas ride - see below.) Niamh's appears first and then Adda's in English together with a Welsh translation. There is more on this ride in Wheelrights Summer Newsletter.

Wheelrights Christmas ride

This ride took place on 12th December 2021. It was a mild but murky day with drizzle which cleared later. Despite this a motley crowd of over 25, many in festive attire, took part and cycled along NCR 4 from Blackpill to the Wetlands Centre at Penclacwydd and back. Read about it in the following two accounts:
First our President's and then the account of Adda, the 7 year old grandson of a new Wheelrights member. A certificate was subsequently presented to him by Brunel. Here is a Welsh translation of Adda's report.
